MARTIN ALEMAN

Martin Aleman is a French director and photographer based in Paris. He grew up between the South of France and Ibiza, taught himself photography and moved to Paris to study theatre before turning to screenwriting, then directing. He approaches photography as a director, storyboarding his images and writing short scripts, building living tableaux rather than shoots. His references run from Guy Bourdin and Norman Parkinson to Coppola, Kubrick and Wong Kar-wai. He works across fashion film, music videos and photography, and keeps a studio in the South of France.
