PAOLO SORRENTINO

Paolo Sorrentino is an Italian screenwriter and director born in Naples. He studied business and economics before turning to filmmaking. His first feature, L’Uomo in Più, was selected for the Venice Film Festival in 2001, and Il Divo won the Prix du Jury at Cannes in 2008. La Grande Bellezza brought him an Academy Award, a Golden Globe and a BAFTA in 2014. In 2021 The Hand of God won the Silver Lion at the Venice Film Festival.
